Environmental Information System (ENVIS) is a planned program of the Ministry of Environment and Forests. ENVIS is a decentralized system using the distributed network of databases to ensure integration of National efforts in Environmental information collection, storage, retrieval and dissemination to all concerned including policy planners, decision makers, research workers and the public.

To apply the modern technologies of acquisition processing, storage and retrieval of Coastal Zone Management topics to support and promote research and development towards sustainable Integrated Coastal Zone Management planning.
